PaPa Chic

My cute grandpa Chic passed away on Sunday. I have so many great memories with this man...I only wish that Owen was able to say the same. He loves his papa Chic very much, but Grandpa has been sick the last few years battling altzimers. Some of my most fond memories are him taking me on hikes and teaching to me walk correctly (I may have been a little pigeon toed). When I was homecoming queen my father was out of town and I asked my grandpa to be the one to escort me on the football field at halftime. He bowed down to me and I remember being so embarrrased...now I just think back at how sweet and what a gentleman he was. He was the one to baptise me. He loved to take all his grandchildren camping and fishing. He was such a wonderful grandfather and I am so happy that I have all these memories to share with Owen and his no named brother so that his legacy can live on through them.

Oh, Holly, I'm so sorry! My Grandma (June) they say had dimentia, and I don't know how different it is from alzheimers, but she didn't remember much of anything/anyone in her last several years, so I can somewhat relate. He sounds like an amazing man. I'm sorry for your loss. I sure love you.

And for names... Jack has a new best friend at school named Luke. That was my original vote, and I think I like it even more now!

I'm sorry Hol! It's hard to loose a grandparent even when they are sick. That's a nice tribute to your grandpa Chic. I had forgotten about him bowing to greet you as Homecoming queen.

Sorry to read about your papa. that is a hard thing to deal with.
I guess Deanna doesn't know where you live we thought you had the house with the big silver truck. Yes that is the view from the house not bad for the kids taking the picture.

I am so sorry about your grandpa Holly, you guys have had more than your share lately. I am glad Owen has done well in preschool! Dallin also got and lost teeth early and the dentist said they do go together.
